” IN SEARCH OF AN ENIGMATIC BUSTARD OF THE RAINS ” The uniqueness of this trip , is twitching for a species that is now probably under 500 individuals in the wild. As a company, we have been tracking this bird from the year 2014 . Very very little is known about their wintering grounds, as post monsoon rains , their behavior changes to skulking nature. Their breeding display is a marvel to watch , as it was the only bird from South Asia, to feature in BBC PLANET EARTH ( 2006 ) ,in the grasslands movie. Most bird species are known to be location fidel, this species is completely dependent on the rainfall pattern. Its also a true bio indicator species for the very small grassland habitat left , in the north west and central India.
